Cluster of Excellence for Cutting-Edge Technology - Spring 2026
Do you want to establish a national cluster of excellence in cutting-edge technology? Vinnova and the Swedish Research Council are jointly announcing funding to create Swedish research and innovation environments that can become top five in the world in their field. You can apply for funding to form and build a cluster of excellence in cutting-edge technology. This includes research, innovation, and ecosystem development.
Who can apply?
Constellations of researchers, companies and other actors who want to establish clusters of excellence. Proposal must be submitted by a university, university college, or other Swedish organization that is an approved fund manager at SRC.
How much can you apply for?
SEK 40–100 million per year from the Swedish Research Council for the research component. The innovation component is financed by Vinnova and can amount to 75% of the research component amount..
